I've just realized that if I am really serious on embarking on a professional mathematical career, I had better start to learn to defend my ideas and learn from mistakes other people point out, no matter how pendantic or trivial it may seem.
Creative ideas don't appear out of thin air. It usually is chiselled from a rough cut of wrong concepts and mistaken assumptions. Criticism is its chisel, the resulting product is robust-able to withstand the rigors of time and tide.
I guess the higher level I go I can't just get by saying, " It is already understood lar..." The devil is in the (technical) details.
